DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT - PHASE 2
Lane Closures and Detours Tonight on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway, Dulles Toll Road and Dulles Greenway - Friday, April 28
 
Night time construction activities will take place on Friday, April 28, causing lane closures and detours on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway, Dulles Toll Road and Dulles Greenway.
 
SPECIAL NOTICE:  Tower Crane Removal from Herndon Station Site - Weekend of April 28:
On or about Friday, April 28 at 10 p.m. through Monday, May 1 at 5 a.m., the tower crane at the Silver Line's Herndon Metrorail Station will be disassembled and removed from the median of the Dulles International Airport Acess Highway (DIAAH).  This activity will detour eastbound DIAAH traffic onto the eastbound Dulles Toll Road between the Centreville Road bridge and the Fairfax County Parkway overpass for the duration of the weekend.  Lane closures will also occur on the eastbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR) and the westbound DIAAH.

Drivers are asked to use caution, remain attentive to all signage, barricades and speed limits, and obey all police and flagger instructions.
Dulles Toll Road East
 
When:   Friday, April 28 at 10 p.m. - Monday, May 1 at 5 a.m.
What:    Two left lanes closed
Where:  From mile marker 2.7 to 4.0 (between the Centreville Road and Fairfax County overpasses) Eastbound DIAAH traffic will be detoured to the left lane of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road at mile marker 2.7 and detoured back to the DIAAH at mile marker 4.0.
Why:     Removal of Herndon Station Tower Crane

Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) East
 
When:   Friday, April 28 - Saturday, April 29, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:    Left lane closed from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Full closure begins at 10 p.m. - follow detour. Road reopens at 5 a.m.
Where:  From Saarinen Circle to mile marker 0.3 (Saarinen Circle to 2/10 mile before the Rudder Road overpass to Saarinen Circle near Garage 1), traffic will be diverted around work area.
Why:     Aerial guideway construction
