Important Lane and Ramp Closures for the Week of September 27 – October 3
Road/station work and inspections along Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Boulevard (Route 123 will continue the week of September 27, 2015 and will cause multiple lane closures.
Phase 2 Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews continue Road Widening, Barrier Installation, Utility Work, Excavation, Foundation and other Construction Activities
Lane and shoulder closures will occur along the Dulles Toll Road (DTR), Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH), Dulles Greenway, Rudder Road, Autopilot Drive, Sunrise Valley Drive and Sunset Hills Road, the week of September 27 – October 3.
This work will take place both overnights and during the daytime hours. Please note that dates and times may change as lane closures can be adversely affected by inclement weather or other elements. Details of the work that will take place this week follow below.

All closures are weather permitting and subject to change. All night shift lane closures will have police escorts onsite for enhanced public safety.
Leesburg Pike (Route 7) West
When: Monday, September 28 - Thursday, October 1, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Friday, October 2, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
What: Right thru lane of Route 7 westbound closed
Where: From Spring Hill Road to Tyco Road
Why: Concrete bus ramp repairs
When: Tuesday, September 29 - Thursday, October 1, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Friday, October 2, 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
What: Center - right and right lane of Route 7 westbound and entire bus ramp closed
Where: From 500 feet east of Spring Hill Road to Tyco Road
Why: Repairs at concrete bus ramp
When: Sunday, September 27 - Monday, September 28, 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Right most left turn lane of Route 7 westbound closed
Where: From Route 7 westbound to southbound Gosnell Road
Why: Gas valve box repair
Leesburg Pike (Route 7) East
When: Sunday, September 27 - Monday, September 28, 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Center and right thru lanes of Route 7 eastbound closed
Where: From 1,500 feet west of Gosnell Road to 500 feet east of Gosnell Road
Why: Gas valve box repair
Dolley Madison Boulevard (Route 123) South
When: Monday, September 28 - Tuesday, September 29, 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Two right thru lanes of Route 123 southbound closed
Where: 500 feet north of Capital One Drive to 500 feet south of Capital One Drive
Why: Gas valve box repair
Dolley Madison Boulevard (Route 123) North
When: Monday, September 28 - Tuesday, September 29, 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Leftmost left turn lane on to westbound Capital One Drive closed
Where: From the start to the end of the turn lane to Capital One Drive
Why: Gas valve box repair
Dulles Toll Road (DTR) East
When: Sunday, September 27 - Saturday, October 3, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where: From mile marker 0.6 to 5.7 (from the overpass of the ramp to the northbound Dulles Greenway to 5/10 mile after the Reston Parkway overpass)
Why: Jack and bore operations

What: Ramp narrows, left and right side
Where: Along the ramp to the eastbound DTR from southbound Route 28, and along the ramp from the eastbound DTR to northbound Route 28

What: Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where: Between mile marker 8.6 and 12.2 (from 1/10 mile after the Ashburn Village Boulevard
overpass to 2/10 mile before the mainline toll plaza), short lane closures of varying lengths will occur

Dulles Greenway West
When: Monday, September 28 - Friday, October 2, 5 p.m. to 3 p.m.
What: Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where: Between mile marker 12.0 and 8.6 (from 3/10 mile after the mainline toll plaza to 1/10 mile before the Ashburn Village Boulevard overpass), short lane closures of varying lengths will occur

What: Full closure of northbound lanes
Where: Northbound lanes of Autopilot Drive from Rudder Road to Materials Road closed;
northbound traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes
