Lane Closures on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway and Airport Roads, Tuesday Night, September 1, 2015
Construction activities will take place overnight on Tuesday, September 1 and into the early morning of Wednesday, September 2, causing lane closures on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) and Autopilot Drive.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) East
When: Tuesday, September 1, 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Left lane closed
Where: From mile marker 2.2 to 3.5 (from 3/10 mile before the Centreville Road overpass to 1/10 mile past the Monroe Street overpass)
Why: Construction entrance acceleration/deceleration lane
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) West
When: Tuesday, September 1, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Alternating right and left lane closures
Where: From mile marker 0.3 to Copilot Way (from 2/10 mile after the Rudder Road overpass, continuing along Saarinen Circle past Daily Garage 1)
Why: Road widening
When: Tuesday, September 1, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Right and left lanes closed northbound, left lane closed southbound
Where: Northbound Autopilot Drive will be diverted to one lane of southbound Autopilot Drive from Rudder Road past the Avis car rental facility. Southbound Autopilot Drive will be reduced a single lane from Materials Road to Rudder Road.
Why: Aerial guideway construction
