Daily Lane Closures are Planned Along
Route 
123 and Tysons Boulevard, 
May 4 - May 8
 
Motorists traveling along northbound and soundbound Route 123 and Tysons Boulevard will see continued daily lane closures as crews perform installation of underdrain in preparation of the Old Meadow Road realignment with Capital One Tower Drive. Lane closures are planned for Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, and are needed to permit  manhole and underdrain installation. The closures are expected to remain for several more weeks.
 
The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project is performing the work because of impacts caused by Silver Line construction near McLean Metrorail Station.  Please see below for more detailed information.
 
Route 123 - South
 
When:   Monday, May 4, through Thursday, May 7,  8.a.m. - 3 p.m., and Friday, May 8, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
What:    Right turn lane closure
Where: From 495 exit ramp to Tysons Boulevard
Why:     Underdrain installation
 
When:   Monday, May 4, through Thursday, May 7,  8.a.m. - 3 p.m., and Friday, May 8, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
What:    Right turn lane closure
Where:  From Tysons Boulevard bus ramp exit to International Drive
Why:    Underdrain installation
 
When:   Monday, May 4, through Thursday, May 7,  8.a.m. - 3 p.m., and Friday, May 8, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
What:    Right turn lane closure
Where:  From 100 feet past Scotts Crossing to Capital One Drive
Why:    Underdrain installation
 
Tysons Boulevard
 
When:   Monday, May 4, through Thursday, May 7,  8.a.m. - 3 p.m., and Friday, May 8, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
What:    Right turn lane closure
Where:  From Route 123 to Galleria Drive
Why:    Underdrain installation
 
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.  
Signs and barrels will be used to help direct traffic and minimize impacts.  Drivers should use extreme caution in the areas and allow extra time to travel in these areas.
