Eastbound Dulles Access Highway Traffic to be Detoured for Pedestrian Bridge Utility Work - Friday, Dec. 14, 10 p.m. through Saturday, Dec. 15, 5: 30 a.m.
Beginning on or about Friday, Dec. 14 at 10:00 p.m. and continuing until Saturday, Dec. 15 at 5:30 a.m., Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP) crews will be performing overhead utility work at the pedestrian bridges of Innovation Center Station, requiring the full closure of a portion of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road.
At mile marker 1.5, near the Route 28 toll plaza, traffic will be redirected to the left lane of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR) from the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH). There will be a second left DTR lane closed as a buffer. At mile marker 2.2, traffic will be able to re-enter the DIAAH. See graphic below.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times.
