Eastbound Dulles Toll Road Traffic to be detoured onto the Eastbound Access Road for Pedestrian Bridge Utility Work
Friday, Nov. 30, 10 p.m. through Saturday, Dec. 1, 6 a.m.
Beginning on or about Friday, Nov. 30, at 10 p.m. and continuing until Saturday, Dec. 1, at 6 a.m. all eastbound traffic using the the Dulles Toll Road near the toll plaza near Route 28 ( near mile marker 1.7) will be redirected to the right lane of the eastbound Dulles Inerntional Airport Access Highway. A second right lane will be closed as a safety buffer.
Directly after the Centreville Road overpass, at mile marker 2.6, traffic will be allowed to re-enter the toll road lanes.
Also, the Centreville Road exit will be inaccessible from the eastbound DIAAH. There will be detour signage installed through the Fairfax County Parkway exit in order to bring traffic back to Centreville Road via Sunrise Valley Drive.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times.
The detour will permit Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP) crews to perform overhead utility work at the pedestrian bridges of for the new Innovation Center Station. This work will requir full closure of this section of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road.
