Sitework for Reston Station Support Facilities
Rail Crews Clearing Trees and Brush
(Sept. 28, 2015) - Dulles Rail construction crews today began clearing trees in preparation for the start of work on two facilities that will provide support to the future Silver Line Reston Town Center Station. The work will take three to four weeks.
The work will begin at the future Traction Power Substation (TPSS) #12 adjacent to Sunset Hills Road, near the Town Center Parkway. TPSS #12 will provide power and communications to the Silver Line. When that area has been cleared, crews will move south across the Dulles International Airport Access Highway and Dulles Toll Road to begin clearing at the site of Stormwater Management facility.
