Triple Lane Closures with 20 Minute Stoppages (after midnight) on Eastbound Dulles Toll Road for Milling, Paving and Striping
Sunday night, July 14 through Sunday morning, July 21
10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night
Beginning on or about Sunday night, July 14 and continuing until Sunday morning, July 21, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP) crews will be performing milling, paving, and striping work along the eastbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR), requiring the alternating closures of three left or right lanes during night shift hours of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning at mile marker 1.9, near Herndon Station, and continuing to mile marker 4.5 just beyond Fairfax County Parkway. Traffic from the eastbound DTR should be aware of the change in pattern and can expect up to 20 minute full stoppages after midnight (see image below).
All work is weather dependent and subject to change. Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times.
