Triple Left Lane Closure with 20-Minute Stoppages on Westbound Dulles Toll Road for Pedestrian Bridge Utilities
Tuesday, Jan. 15, to Thursday, Jan. 17, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night
Beginning on or about Tuesday, Jan. 15 through Thursday, Jan. 17, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP) crews will be performing pedestrian bridge utility work along the westbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR), requiring the full closure of three left lanes beginning at mile marker 5.1 on the east end of Reston Station, and continuing through mile marker 3.6 to Herndon Station. Traffic from the westbound DTR should be aware of the change in pattern and can expect up to 20 minute full stoppages (see image below). These lane closures will be put in place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change. Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times.
