CANCELLED: Weekend Closure of Eastbound Dulles Access Highway between Centreville Road and Fairfax County Parkway Now Set for Friday, Aug. 10, at 10 p.m. until Monday, Aug. 13, at 5 a.m.

This work has been cancelled for Aug. 10-13 and will be rescheduled.
The weekend detour of the eastbound Dulles Access Highway (DIAAH) scheduled for the weekend of Aug. 3, through Aug. 5 has been postponed to the following weekend.  Beginning on or about Friday, Aug. 10, at 10 p.m. and continuing through the weekend until Monday, Aug. 6, at 5 a.m., Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP) crews will be performing storm drain work along the eastbound DIAAH, requiring the full closure of the eastbound DIAAH between Centreville Road and the Fairfax County Parkway over the weekend.
Traffic from the eastbound DIAAH will be diverted to the left lane of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR), then returned to the DIAAH once past the construction area. DIAAH drivers will not pass through any toll booths on the DTR during these detours (see map below and details on next page)

From Friday night, Aug. 10, at 10 p.m. through early Monday morning, Aug. 13, at 5 a.m.:
  • Eastbound DIAAH traffic between mile markers 2.7 and 4.0 will be diverted to the left lane of the eastbound DTR.
  • Eastbound DTR traffic will be restricted to the two right lanes.
  • Eastbound DIAAH traffic will return to the DIAAH at mile marker 4.0, just prior to the Fairfax County Parkway overpass.
  • The detour will be in place through the weekend.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the roadways at various times.
