Westbound Dulles Access Highway Traffic
to be Detoured for Milling, Paving
and Pedestrian Bridge Work
Tuesday, May 14, 10 p.m. to Wednesday, May 15, 5 a.m.
Beginning on or about Tuesday, May 14, at 10 p.m. and continuing until Wednesday, May 15, at 5:00 a.m., Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP) crews will be performing milling, paving and pedestrian bridge work, requiring the full closure of a portion of the westbound Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH). Centreville Road traffic, at mile marker 9.1, will be redirected to the left lane of the westbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR) from the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH). There will be a second left DTR lane closed as a buffer. At mile marker 1.8, near the Route 28 toll plaza, traffic will be able to re-enter the DIAAH toward the airport. The ramps to the westbound DIAAH at mile marker 8.3 and 3.3 will be closed. See graphics below.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times.
