Westbound Dulles Toll Road Detour
for Overhead Sign Work
Wednesday, June 18, and Thursday, June 19,
from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
On Wednesday, June 18, and Thursday, June 19, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP) crews will be replacing overhead signs at Innovation Center Station requiring a full closure of a portion of the westbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR). Beginning at mile marker 4.1 near Fairfax County Parkway, left lane closures will be put in place to guide traffic toward a detour at the southbound Centreville Road ramp, just beyond mile marker 3.0. The detour will direct traffic to turn left onto southbound Centreville Road, and follow detour signs to gain access to Route 28, Dulles Airport and the Greenway via Frying Pan Road. (see graphics below).
All work is weather dependent and subject to change. Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times.
