Nighttime Construction Will Close a Portion of the Eastbound Dulles Access Highway and Dulles Toll Road - Wednesday, Feb. 7

Nighttime construction at Herndon Station will take place Wednesday, Feb. 7 until early Thursday morning, Feb. 8. The construction will require a full road closure on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH). Traffic will be detoured onto the left lane of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road (Toll Road) and traffic on the Toll Road will be reduced to the two eastbound right lanes. The work will continue nightly through the week. See below for more detailed information.  All work is wind and weather permitting.
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) and Dulles Toll Road (Toll Road) EAST
When:   Wednesday, Feb. 7 - Friday, Feb. 9 , 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly
What:    Full closure of a section of the eastbound DIAAH
        Two right lanes closed on eastbound DTR
Where:  From mile marker 02.7 to 4.0 (Between the Centreville Road and Fairfax County Parkway overpasses)
Detour:  Eastbound DIAAH traffic will be detoured onto the left lane of the eastbound Toll Road and then returned to the eastbound DIAAH beyond the construction activity.  No toll will be charged to airport traffic.  Eastbound Toll Road traffic will be reduced to two lanes at this location. The detour will be removed each night following construction and the road will be restored to full operation no later than 5 a.m.

Drivers are asked to use caution, remain attentive to all signage, barricades and speed limits, and obey all police and flagger instructions. Slow-moving vehicles and equipment may be entering and exiting the highways and surrounding roads.
