DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT - PHASE 2
Lane Closures and Detour on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway and Dulles Greenway - Saturday, July 30
Night time construction activities will take place Saturday, July 30, causing lane closures and a detour on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway and Dulles Greenway.
All work is weather dependent.
On or about Saturday, July 30 at 10 p.m., and continuing until Sunday, July 31 at 8 a.m., the eastbound Dulles Greenway at Exit 8A (Old Ox Road east/Route 606) will be detoured to eastbound Old Ox Road while Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews construct a large concrete span for the Silver Line Aerial Guideway over the eastbound lanes of the Dulles Greenway. Follow detour signs along eastbound Old Ox Road and Route 28 south to the westbound Dulles International Airport Access Highway, Dulles International Airport, or the eastbound Dulles Toll Road.
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) East
When: Saturday, July 30, 10 p.m. to Sunday, July 31, 5 a.m.
What: Eastbound lane reductions begin at 9 p.m. Eastbound full closure begin at 10 p.m. Follow detour; EB DIAAH reopens at 5 a.m.
Where: From Saarinen Circle to mile marker 0.3 (near the Rudder Road overpass)
Why: Installation of a concrete span across the eastbound DIAAH
Dulles Greenway East
When: Saturday, July 30, 10 p.m. to Sunday, July 31, 8 a.m.
What: Full closure of all eastbound lanes
Where: From mile marker 11.0 to 12.0 (from Exit 8A to the mainline toll plaza). All traffic will exit the eastbound Dulles Greenway at Exit 8A, Old Ox Road east/Route 606. Follow detour.
Why: Installation of a concrete span across the eastbound Dulles Greenway
