DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT - PHASE 2
Lane Closures on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway and Dulles Toll Road: Friday, Sept. 15 - Sunday Sept. 17
Construction activities over the weekend, Friday, Sept. 15 to Sunday, Sept. 17, causing lane closures on the Dulles Toll Road (DTR) and Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH), including a nighttime full closure on the westbound DIAAH, between the Beulah Road and Route 28 overpasses, to allow overhead installation of a pedestrian bridge span for the Herndon Station. See below for more detailed information. All work is weather permitting.
Drivers are asked to use caution, remain attentive to all signage, barricades and speed limits, and obey all police and flagger instructions. Slow-moving vehicles and equipment may be entering and exiting the highways and surrounding roads.
Dulles Toll Road West
When: Friday, Sept.15 - Saturday, Sept.16, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
What: Double left lane closures
Where: From mile marker 5.5 to 4.8 (from 3/10 mile before to 4/10 mile past the Reston Parkway overpass).
Why: Pedestrian bridge installation
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) West
When: Friday, Sept.15, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Left lane closure
Where: From mile marker 5.5 to 4.5 (from 5/10 mile before the Reston Parkway overpass to 3/10 mile before the Fairfax County Parkway overpass).
Why: Civil work
When: Friday, Sept. 15, 10 p.m. to Saturday, Sept. 16, 6 a.m.
What: Full road closure
Where: From mile marker 9.0 to 1.8 (from 2/10 past the Beulah Road overpass to 6/10 mile before the Route 28 overpass). Follow detour.
