Important Lane and Ramp Closures for
the Week of September 12 – September 18
 
Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews continue construction activities for the Metrorail Silver Line Phase 2 that require lane, shoulder, and road closures and detours at locations along the Dulles Toll Road (DTR), Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH), Dulles Greenway, and Autopilot Drive during the week of September 12 – September 18, 2021.
 
See below for more specific dates, times and details and remember that all work is weather permitting. PLEASE USE CAUTION and remain attentive to all signage, barricades and speed limits, and obey all police and flagger instructions. Slow-moving vehicles and equipment may be entering and exiting the highways and surrounding roads.

Dulles Toll Road East
When:  Sunday, September 12 to Saturday, September 18, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:   Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths as well as mobile closures
Where: From mile marker 1.3 to 5.2 (from just west of the Route 28 overpass to the Reston Parkway overpass)
Why:    Civil/Facilities/Track work
 
Dulles Toll Road West
When:  Monday, September 13 to Friday, September 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Saturday, September 18, 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What:   Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths as well as mobile closures
Where: From mile marker 5.7 to 1.5 (between the Route 28 and Reston Parkway overpasses)
Why:    Civil/Facilities/Track work
 
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) East
When:  Monday, September 13 to Friday, September 17, 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Saturday, September 18 to Sunday, September 19, 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:   Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths as well as mobile closures
Where: From mile marker 0.0 to 8.0 (from the Aviation Drive overpass to Hunter Mill Road)
Why:    Civil/Facilities/Track work
 
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) West
When:  Monday, September 13 to Friday, September 17, 7:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Saturday, September 18 to Sunday, September 19, 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What:   Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths as well as mobile closures
Where: From mile marker 7.3 to 0.0 (from approximately 7/10 mile west of Hunter Mill Road to approximately 200 feet beyond the Copilot Way ramp on Saarinen Circle near the Dulles Airport Terminal)

Autopilot Drive North and South
When:  Monday, September 13 to Friday, September 17, 9 a.m to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
What:   Alternating single right or left lane closures
Where: From Rudder Road to Materials Road
Why:    Aerial Guideway Structures
 
When:  Monday, September 13 to Friday, September 17, 7 a.m to 3 p.m.
What:   Right Turn Lane
Where: Turn Lane onto EB Materials Road
Why:    Aerial Guideway Structures
 
Dulles Greenway East
When:  Monday, September 13 to Friday, September 17, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, September 18, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
What:   Alternating left and right lane closures of varying lengths as well as mobile closures
Where: From mile marker 7.6 to 12.3 (from approximately 2/10 mile west of Waxpool Road to the Dulles Toll Road)
Why:    Civil/Facilities/Track work
 
Dulles Greenway West
When:  Monday, September 13 to Friday, September 17, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, September 18, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
What:   Alternating left and right lane closures of varying lengths as well as mobile closures
Where: From mile marker 12.2 to 7.6 (from the Moran Road exit to Broadlands Boulevard overpass)
Why:    Civil/Facilities/Track work
