REMINDER: Large Off-Site Fill Material Importing Operation and
Equipment Deliveries for the Period of Dec. 21 - Dec. 23
Drivers using Route 606 (Old Ox Road) and Mercure Circle just west of Dulles Airport may experience some slow traffic Dec. 21 - Dec. 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., due to dump trucks carrying fill dirt into the site of the Silver Line's future Rail Yard and Maintenance Facility. On Tuesday, Dec. 22, a crane will be delivered to the site for the assembly of the rock crusher anytime between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic on other roads in eastern Loudoun may be affected.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's office will have a vehicle parked at the project entrance to help maintain traffic flows. Roads will be cleaned during these operations by a sweeper truck. Please see below for a brief description of the trucks travel route.
Here is the travel route: Trucks will travel from the Moorefield Site in Ashburn to the MWAA Rail Yard and Maintenance Facility project site via Ryan Road (VA-772), Belmont Ridge Road (VA-772), Evergreen Mills Road (VA-659) and Old Ox Road (VA-606). ALL TRUCKS WILL TURN RIGHT INTO AND OUT OF PROJECT SITE. Trucks will return to the Moorefield Site via Old Ox Rd (VA-606), Greenway (RT-267), Loudoun County Parkway and Ryan Road (VA-772).
