DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT - PHASE 2
Overnight Lane Closures and Detours This Weekend on the Dulles Toll Road (DTR), Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH), Dulles Greenway, Autopilot Drive and Centreville Road - Friday, Aug. 19 - Sunday, Aug. 21 Nighttime construction activities will take place Friday, August 19 through Sunday, August 21, causing lane closures and a detour on the Dulles Toll Road, Dulles International Airport Access Highway, Dulles Greenway, Autopilot Drive and Centreville Road.
On Friday, August 19, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., the northbound and southbound lanes of Autopilot Drive from Rudder Road to the Hertz car rental facility at Dulles International Airport will be closed for the construction of the aerial guideway. Follow detour signs around the work area. All car rental facilities, including Hertz, will be accessible. <><><>
Dulles Toll Road East When: Friday, August 19 - Saturday, August 20, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. What: Two right lanes closed Where: From mile marker 2.2 to 3.8 (from 3/10 mile before the Centreville Road bridge to 4/10 mile past the Van Buren/Monroe Street overpass) Why: Striping
Dulles Toll Road West
When: Friday, August 19 - Saturday, August 20, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. What: Left lane closed Where: From mile marker 4.0 to 3.3 (from 2/10 mile past the Fairfax County Parkway overpass to 1/10 mile past the Monroe Street overpass) Why: Duct bank work
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) East
When: Friday, August 19 - Saturday, August 20, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday, August 20 - Sunday, August 21, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. What: Eastbound lane reductions begin at 9 p.m. Eastbound full closure begins at 10 p.m. Follow detour; EB DIAAH reopens at 5 a.m. Where: From Saarinen Circle to mile marker 0.3 (near the Rudder Road overpass) Why: Installation of a concrete span across the eastbound DIAAH
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) West
When: Saturday, August 20 - Sunday, August 21, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. What: Two left lanes closed; right lane diverted around work area. Traffic on ramp from Aviation Drive must stop. Where: From mile marker 0.4 to Saarinen Circle (from Rudder Road overpass to Saarinen Circle near Garage 1) Why: Installation of a concrete span across the westbound DIAAH. When: Friday, August 19 - Saturday, August 20, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. What: Right lane closed Where: From mile marker 4.0 to 3.3 (from 2/10 mile past the Fairfax County Parkway overpass to 1/10 mile past the Monroe Street overpass) Why: Road work
Autopilot Drive North and South
When: Friday, August 19 - Saturday, August 20, 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. What: Full closure of northbound and southbound lanes Where: From Rudder Road to 700 feet north of Rudder Road (near the Hertz car rental facility). Follow detour. Why: Aerial guideway construction
Dulles Greenway East and West
When: Saturday, August 20, midnight to 12:30 a.m. What: 20 minute stoppage Where: Between mile marker 8.7 and 8.9, a 20 minute stoppage will occur on the eastbound and westbound Dulles Greenway. Why: Utility repair
Centreville Road North
When: Sunday, August 21 - Monday, August 22, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. What: Left lane closed Where: Between Woodland Park Road and Parcher Avenue Why: Bridge work <><><><><>
