Drilled Shaft Work Continues on Autopilot Drive

On or about Saturday, April 18, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews will close the‚Äč left lane of southbound Autopilot Drive during day time hours for construction of the foundation for the aerial guideway that will support the Silver Line as it travels through Washington Dulles International Airport.

Drilled shaft work will occur in the median of Autopilot Drive just north of the intersection with Rudder Road between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Drivers should be alert to barriers, signage and heavy equipment that will be moved to and from the construction zone.
Access to the rental car lots will be maintained at all times, and flaggers will be in place as needed to direct traffic.
If work is delayed, the alternate date of work will be on or about Saturday, April 25.
