Eastbound Dulles Access Highway Traffic to be detoured to Eastbound Dulles Toll Road for Pedestrian Bridge Utility Work
Saturday, Dec. 22, 10 p.m. through Sunday, Dec. 23, 5 a.m.
Beginning on or about Saturday, Dec. 22, at 10 p.m. and continuing until Sunday, Dec. 23, at 5 a.m., Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP) crews will be performing utility work at the pedestrian bridges of Herndon Station, requiring the full closure of a portion of the eastbound Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH).
At mile marker 2.7, traffic will be redirected to the left lane of the westbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR) from the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH). There will be a second left DTR lane closed as a buffer. At mile marker 4.0, near Fairfax County Parkway, traffic will be able to re-enter the DIAAH. See graphic below.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times.
