Lane Closures and 20-Minute Stoppages on the Dulles Toll Road
Thursday, July 12, 10 p.m. to Friday, July 13, 5 a.m.
Friday, July 13, 10 p.m. to Saturday, July 14, 6 a.m.
On or about Thursday night, July 12, and Friday night, July 13, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews will continue installing electrical, plumbing and fire suppression equipment on the underside of the pedestrian bridges at the Reston Town Center and Herndon Metrorail Stations that cross over the eastbound and westbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR). The work will require a triple lane closure with 20-minute traffic stoppages after midnight each night.
Figure 1: On Thursday night, July 12, the three left lanes of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road will be closed, and 20-minute stoppages will occur on the single right through lane.

Figure 2: On Friday night, July 14, the three left lanes of the westbound Dulles Toll Road will be closed, and 20-minute stoppages will occur on the single right through lane.
Friday, July 13, 10 p.m. to Saturday, July 14, 6 a.m.:
Utility work on the pedestrian bridges is expected to continue through the month of July. Additional notifications will be issued that detail the traffic control methods specific to each operation and provide directions for any detours that may be required. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the roadways at various times.
