Lane closures are scheduled along Old Meadow Road near Route 123 and along northbound Route 123 for Monday, April 26, through Thursday, April 29, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Friday, April 30, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., and Saturday, April 31, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., to permit traffic signalization and related work. The work is part of the realignment of Old Meadow Road with Capital One Tower Drive at Route 123 (Dolley Madison Boulevard). See below for details. All work is weather dependent.
Traffic will be maintained in both directions, including motorists turning left onto Old Meadow from Old Chain Bridge. Drivers will be able to turn onto Route 123 in either direction from Old Meadow. All lanes will reopen by 4 p.m. Flaggers will be in place to assist.
The parking lot at 1690 Old Meadow Road as well as the CityLine property will remain accessible during this work. A public notice will be distributed today, and signs will be posted to direct traffic.
