Nightly Lane Closures Planned Along Dulles Connector Road, Oct. 3 - Oct. 7
Nightly lane closures are planned along DCR for Monday, Oct. 3 to Friday, Oct. 7 weather permitting Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews to complete ongoing work related to the shoulder reconstruction.
The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project is making these enhancements at the request of the Virginia Department of Transportation as part of the Silver Line Phase 1 project. Please see detailed information below.
Dulles Connector Road – Eastbound
When: Monday, Oct. 3 to Friday, Oct. 7, 9:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
What: Left Lane Closure
Where: I-495 to I-66
Why: Remove MOT and restore to original configuration
When: Monday, Oct. 3 to Friday, Oct. 7, 2:00 a.m. - 5:00 a.m.
What: Right Shoulder Taper
Where: Magarity Road to I-66
Why: Remove MOT and restore to original configuration
Dulles Connector Road – Westbound
When: Monday, Oct. 3 to Friday, Oct. 7, 9:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
What: Left Lane Closure
Where: Pimmit Run to Chain Bridge Road
Why: Shoulder Construction; Setting up MOT: Install Temporary Signage and Concrete Barriers
When: Monday, Oct. 3 to Friday, Oct. 7, 2:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m.
What: Right Shoulder Taper
Where: Great Falls St. to Magarity Rd
Why: Shoulder Construction; Setting up MOT
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
