Old Meadow Road
123 Begins in Tysons
Lane Closures Sunday, March 29 - Friday, April 3
Construction on the realignment of Old Meadow Road One Tower Drive at Route 123 (Dolley Madison Boulevard), near I-495 in Tysons, begins Sunday, March 29, and will require lane closures along Old Meadow Road and Route 123.
The realignment is being done by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority's Silver Line project as requested by the Virginia Department of Transportation and Fairfax County to align the Old Meadow Road entrance with the main entrance to the Capital One complex. The change is needed because of impacts caused by Silver Line construction at McLean Metrorail station.
Nighttime closures are planned this weekend to permit the installation of Jersey barriers. The right turn lane of northbound Route 123 will be closed at Old Meadow Road as well as the right eastbound lane of Old Meadow Road to facilitate construction. At least one lane of Old Meadow Road will remain open at all times in each direction.
