Silver Line Phase 2 Test Trains Roll Westward
Silver Line test trains are now rolling into Loudoun County from the aerial guideway on Dulles Airport property westward through the Loudoun Gateway Station to the Ashburn Station.
Contractors are performing the testing along the westernmost portions of Phase 2 of the rail project in conjunction with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority teams using eight rail cars supplied by WMATA.
Trains rolled into Ashburn Station - the last stop along the Silver Line Phase 2 alignment - in early October for dynamic testing.  Photo Credit: Chuck Samuelson/Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project
