Important Lane and Ramp Closures for
the Week of September 20 - September 26
Road/station work and inspections along Leesburg Pike (Route 7) continue the week of September 20, 2015 and will cause multiple lane closures.
Phase 2 Barrier Installation, Utility Work, and Other Construction Activities Continue along the Dulles Toll Road, Dulles International Airport Access Highway, Dulles Greenway and Airport Roads
Phase 2 Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews are continuing road widening, barrier installation, utility work, and other construction activities. Lane and shoulder closures will occur along the Dulles Toll Road (DTR), Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH), Dulles Greenway and Rudder Road the week of September 20 – September 26.
This work will take place both overnights and during the daytime hours. Please note that dates and times may change as lane closures can be adversely affected by inclement weather or other elements. Details of the work that will take place this week follow below.

What: Right thru lane of Route 7 eastbound closed
Where: From the DIAAH eastbound ramp on Route 7 to Springhill Road

Leesburg Pike (Route 7) West
When: Monday, September 21 - Thursday, September 24, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Friday, September 25, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
What: Right thru lane of Route 7 westbound closed
Where: From Spring Hill Road to Tyco Road
Why: Concrete bus ramp repairs
When: Monday, September 21 - Thursday, September 24, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Friday, September 25, 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
What: Center-right and right lane of Route 7 westbound and entire bus ramp closed
Where: From 500 feet east of Spring Hill Road to Tyco Road
Why: Repairs at concrete bus ramp

Where: From mile marker 0.3 to 200 feet past Copilot Way (from 2/10 mile after the Rudder Road overpass, continuing along Saarinen Circle past Daily Garage 1), including ramps in the vicinity of Daily Garage 1
Why: Road widening
Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH)/Saarinen Circle West
When: Sunday, September 20 - Saturday, September 26, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Right three lanes closed, intermittent stoppages of up to 20 minutes in remaining single lane
Where: As the westbound DIAAH transitions to Saarinen Circle and continuing in front of Daily Garage 1, traffic will be reduced to a single left lane. Stoppages of up to 20 minutes will occur after 1 a.m. Police will be on site for safety.
Why: Overhead sign installation and removal
Dulles Greenway East
When: Tuesday, September 22 - Friday, September 25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What: Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where: Between mile marker 8.6 and 12.2 (from 1/10 mile after the Ashburn Village Boulevard
overpass to 2/10 mile before the mainline toll plaza), short lane closures of varying lengths will occur
Why: Road work
Dulles Greenway West
When: Tuesday, September 22 - Friday, September 25, 8 p.m. to 3 p.m.
What: Alternating right and left lane closures of varying lengths
Where: Between mile marker 12.0 and 8.6 (from 3/10 mile after the mainline toll plaza to 1/10 mile before the Ashburn Village Boulevard overpass), short lane closures of varying lengths will occur
Why: Road work
Rudder Road
When: Sunday, September 20, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Monday, September 21 - Friday, September 25, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What: Right lane closed
Where: Westbound Rudder Road from the ramp from the westbound DIAAH to the intersection with Ariane Way
