Eastbound Dulles Access Highway Traffic to be detoured to Eastbound Dulles Toll Road for Pedestrian Bridge Work
Saturday, May 18, 10 p.m. to Sunday, May 19, 5 a.m.
Beginning on or about Saturday, May 18 at 10 p.m. and continuing until Sunday, May 19 at 5 a.m., Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (DCMP) crews will be performing storm sewer work near Herndon Station, requiring the full closure of a portion of the eastbound Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH).
At mile marker 1.8, traffic will be redirected to the left lane of the westbound Dulles Toll Road (DTR) from the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH). The left lane of the toll plaza will be closed before the slip ramp. There will be a second left DTR lane closed as a buffer. After mile marker 2.2, traffic will be able to re-enter the DIAAH. See graphic below
All work is weather dependent and subject to change. Drivers are asked to use caution and pay attention to all signage and barricades. Large, slow-moving vehicles may be exiting and entering the highway at various times.
