Manhole Work Continues Next Week along Route 7 in Tysons
Starting Monday, July 9 and ending approximately Wednesday,July 18, Dulles Rail Project crews will be working week nights at manholes along eastbound and westbound Route 7 in Tysons Corner.
This work will require some closings of a single lane of east and westbound lanes.
Here is the work schedule:
  • On Monday, July 9 through Thursday, July 12, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., the right thru lane of eastbound Route 7 from the ramp Route 267 (Dulles Toll Road) east to Marshalls Drive will be closed.
  • On Friday, July 13 through Wednesday, July 18, the right thru lane of westbound Route 7 from Westpark Drive to the westbound ramp to Route 267 (Dulles Toll Road/Washington DC) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day.
Driveways will not be blocked. Access to businesses will be maintained during work periods.
All businesses and residential properties in these areas are being advised in advance of the work. A special hotline is being set up so callers can report problems with the above work immediately. That number is 571-282-8549.
In addition, other rail project crews continue to make repairs at bus stops on the side of westbound Route between Spring Hill and Tyco road is ongoing weekdays.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Signs and barrels will be used to help direct traffic and minimize impacts.  Police will be on hand to assist with traffic management.  Drivers should use extreme caution in the areas and allow extra time to travel in these areas.
